(28th October, 2009)
Notice
1. Start of the H1N1 Influenza Vaccination for priority vaccination groups:
・The vaccination will start on 2nd of November (Monday) for the people with “Pre-existing medical ailments” (※1) and “Pregnant women”.
・For others, the vaccination will be provided based on a vaccination time-table in the due order.
2. Taking appointment for vaccination:
・At present, appointments can be given only to the “persons with pre-existing medical ailments” or “pregnant women”. If you belong to one of these categories and if you have not taken any appointment for your vaccination, please take an appointment after due consultations with your family doctor or a vaccination facility.
・If you do not belong to any of the above categories, please refer to this website to get updates about vaccinations.
・The quantity of allotted vaccine is limited and therefore it is possible that everyone will not be able to get the vaccination in spite of the appointments and you might have to wait until the next vaccination date.
3. Persons with pre-existing medical ailments
The persons with pre-existing medical ailments will be divided into two categories based on the criterions established by the government and physician’s judgement:
Persons falling in the first category will receive the vaccination from 2nd November (Top priority group) and persons receiving vaccinations after the first week of December (Others).
4. Pregnant women
The vaccinations starting from 2nd of November does not include the preservative-free influenza vaccines for pregnant women and the preservative-free vaccine is scheduled to be included from the mid-November. The pregnant women should consult with their family doctors regarding the vaccination.
5. Important Note
If you are going to receive the influenza vaccination at a medical facility and not from your family doctor, you will need to provide “Vaccination Priority Group Certifificate” issued by your family doctor or any other medical facility.
